Garden of Morning Calm

How to get there:

There are several different ways to get to The Garden of Morning Calm from Seoul.

By train: From Cheongnyangni Station you can take an ITX to Cheongpyeong Station. You'll get off at the next stop, which takes about 36 minutes, and the ticket should only cost around 4,500 won. From there, you can ride the #30-6 bus and ride for 23 stops, which takes about 24 minutes, and then get off at Aboretum/Bus Terminal bus stop. This takes you directly to the entrance of the garden so you then only have to walk for about a minute or two to the ticket office. Bear in mind that there is a long interval for this bus of between 30-80 minutes. 

 

By bus: It is also possible to travel by bus. The best route is from East Seoul Bus Terminal where you can take an intercity bus to Cheongpyeong Bus Terminal. The journey will take just under an hour and cost around 5,700 won. From here you can also take the #30-6 bus directly to the entrance of the garden.

Gapyeong City Tour Bus

Gapyeong City Tour Bus takes you to Gapyeong's most famous tourist attractions, including Nami Island, Petite France, and The Garden of Morning Calm. You can purchase a ticket before travel or from the driver when you get on the bus for 8,000 won. This ticket is a one-day unlimited pass, so you can get use the bus as many times as you like throughout the day. Bus times and frequency vary depending on the season, but generally it operates every hour between the hours of 8am and 8pm, depending on where you are along the route.
